On August 1, 2004, A&S Companies, Inc. announced they had purchased all of the assets of the world's largest Internet provider of low carb products.  In addition, A&S Companies, Inc., has assumed the lease of the 1,000 square foot Corporate Offices and 4,000 square foot Warehouse space located on Kivett Drive in High Point, NC. Dr. Bill Bailey.NET will continue to host the web site as a service to A & S Natural Health.

Previous owners, Dr. Bill and Belinda Bailey said, "We are happy that someone who has a personal interest in Natural Health Food products such as Anthony Grady, CEO of A&S Natural Health has purchased our operations. Our plans are to work with them in transition as they assume the operations of the Low Carb Nexus®, which is a five year old Internet low carb industry leader." A&S Companies, Inc., is also the parent company of A&S Natural Health Stores which now has seven locations, including their latest acquisitions, which were previously the Doug Brendle's Natural Health Superstore in Winston-Salem, NC and a second store in the Foxcroft area of Charlotte, NC.

A&S Companies, Inc., was founded in 1988 as A&S Audio and continues today with co-founder Anthony Grady as CEO and Chairman of the Board. Anthony's brother Scott died tragically when he was 17 years old. When they began the company they were 13 years and 15 years old respectively. Anthony's older brother, David Grady, is an Executive Vice President of A&S Companies, Inc. and lives in Asheville with his wife Anjie and their three girls.
